Just had lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed it! After being shown to our booth, we were immediately approached by Dell, or waiter. He took drink orders and told us about the daily specials. All sounded wonderful, but we decided to go with some staples- my husband had the kielbasa and I ordered the patty melt with fries. Let me assure you, you will not leave hungry!!! Portions are gigantic and extremely fair priced. My patty melt was actually 2 thick hamburger patties with grilled onions on thick rye bread. Delicious!!!! I was in a quandary about the fries-they were a mix of 4-5 cuts-curly, waffle, steak, crinkle cut. Not sure if this is just how they come, or what. Certainly more than I could eat. The kielbasa were also plentiful. 2 thick sausages on Kaiser buns with cole slaw on top. My husband is a big guy and couldn't eat both of them! Service was top notch, food was very tasty and the atmosphere was inviting. Will definitely be back!

Drove to Callaro's Steak House in the evening, waited over 10 minutes for the valet to pick up my car. Meanwhile, traffic had to flow around me since they didn't leave a spot open for street parking. The wait staff was good, asked for bread twice and it never came out. The food was amazing, the prime rib was cooked perfectly (medium rare with pink center). No complaints in that department. When we left, the valet was no where to be seen. Waited over 15 minutes for him to return, had to find the restaurant owner to figure out what happened. On top of being MIA, the guy had left an advertisement leaflet in the driver seat. Needless to say, the valet service at Callaro's in atrocious. Overall, it made the experience "meh".

We have lived in florida for a long time and I am embarrassed to say we haven't discovered this Steak house till now. We went for the first time last Saturday and had the best experience for our Anniversary dinner. We felt so special from the treatment we got from the staff. The steak my husband ordered was the best steak he has ever had and he is a major steak eater. I am a vegetarian and The Chef and owner Keith prepared me the most Amazing vegetarian appetizers and meal. I was so happy! Our waiter Ray was absolutely delightful and the manager Beth was very accommodating. I highly recommend getting to this Amazing restaurant. You will be so satisfied.

We went for our 28th anniversary with friends. Its one of the best steakhouses in Palm Beach County by far! I had the coconut shrimp which was perfect! My partner had the prime rib and it was done perfectly. I couldn't help staring at it wish maybe I should have chose that dish! :) Another couple had the crab cakes and they loved them. Stuffed shrimp was a great choice by another friend. Service was spot on! We couldn't ask for a better evening for our anniversary!

Was there fo a baby shower. The service was excellent, the manager went out of her way to accommodate everything. The place itself is a bit run down and parts of it smelled like a grease trap. I had the lobster roll as my choice for lunch, it was a very generous amount, although it was a bit salty. I ordered a cosmopolitan but they used lime instead of lemon. Would I come back here for the regular restaurant service? I don't think I will, I gave it 3 stars because of the service.

Delicious . Steak was so tender you could cut it with a butter knife. My son and I loved it and will be back !

We went there to celebrate our friends birthday. First impression the place needs some refreshing. We were seated right away in the last room at a corner table. The service was prompt and the water glasses were filled and the waiter came over quickly. The bread is also very good and crusty. We all ordered the onion soup it was tasty but very salty. Next we all had salads which was very good and fresh. Next came the main course which I ordered a strip steak and this is where the 3 stars come from it was not fork tender and it had some areas that had to be cut away. I have had better strip steaks at the Outback for less cost. For a restaurant that claims to be a steak house I would expect a better steak to be served.

A simple pre-show visit to this restaurant has made both me and my wife and our guests a possible regular. We recieved five star service from our waiter Dell, as in the computer and each and every item we ordered came out flawless. The particular winner of the night was the large cut Prime Ribs. We really over ordered as we are used to Boca Pricing. We will be back and cant wait to hear that long list of chefs specials as well. Thank you Callaro's...we will have to see some more shows that much quicker now.

I am shocked by anyone giving this place anything less than five stars...steaks? 5 star..Delmonico is as good as it gets..if you can find that cut at all Seafood looked amazing...the waitstaff is so friendly..place is so quaint...must be jealous competitors Yummy...keep it up!!

As others have said I was surprised at the three star rating. Went here on Mothers Day. The ratings threw me but my father-in-law convinced me this place gave good steak so I caved. The staff was very friendly. Drinks came out fast. I order the T-bone rare. That's right...I'm diesel. All steaks come with a nice soup or salad. When the food came out the steaks looked beautiful. Seasoned simply with salt and pepper, cooked to a perfect temperature. My mouth was happy. I was happy. The price point did not bother me at all. I have been to Steak houses with ridiculously higher prices for less tasty food. They also had great espresso made in a old school espresso pot. I will be back.

Callero's is a very good steakhouse with a management team that seems more interested in packing in guests than satisfying them. A guaranteed success story on a prime corner in loopy downtown Lake Worth, Callero's serves hefty portions of USDA Choice steaks and fresh seafood. Unfortunately on our visit they also servd my wife a heap of steel wool in her gorgonzola salad. When presented to the manager she observed, matter-of-factly, "oh, that's steel wool" as if it were a regular occurence. Without a word of apology she offered another salad - why would we want one - and left to hustle back to the front desk, leaving apologies to our server. Best offer was a free dessert when at least my wife's meal should have been comped. Word of advice. Pay more attention to the clients you have rather than how many you can stuff - and I do mean stuff- into your ample space.

There is a lot of unfair press about this restaurant. The ratings kept me from going there and made me very skeptical with low expectations when I finally did. Bottom line, in case you do not want to read further, the food is simply amazing. there is some artistic flair, but they do not skimp on anything. the quality of the steaks are amazing. I have had steak at all the so called best places in the area, okeechobee steak house, raindancers, ny prime, etc. Hands down the best ribeye and filet I have had in palm beach. The appetizer of shrimp/crab meat/lobster was a TON of food and very good, the drinks were poured great, the dessert was fantastic, and though on the pricier side, it was still a way better value than any of the aforementioned steak houses. Probably because it is not in the swanky zip code, but their loss is our gain. You will not be disappointed with the food. We went on a thursday and it was dead. Maybe 6 of us in the whole place, but easy to park, walk right in. the only down side that would have me say this is the best place around, is the ambiance is not great, at all. Clean, and nice, just no real direction. I would love for more of the old 707 prime ambiance that it's now closed neighbor had, or some sort of lounge or swanky feel, or full retro steak house feel, but instead it was like a nice living room feel. But we were with good friends so I did not matter. The wait staff was good, just not fantastic as you do have at some of the aforementioned establishments. Waiter told us the specials before getting the other couples drinks, when asked for a good white wine he offered house without bringing the wine menu or even trying to upsell (which we ended up asking him for and doing on our own). But, he was young, just needs some training, and again, not bad, did not detract from the experience whatsoever, but not on par with the quality of the food. So, again, bottom line, AWESOME food, you will not be disappointed. Just alert the owners to put some feeling into the place so it will attract more people, I don;'t want this place to go under now that I have discovered it!!!

Not overly impressed with my meal. The prime rib looked delicious if you eat meat. Very overpriced for what it is, the locals seem to think it was fancy. I am not a local.

Great local spot in Lake Worth! I would highly reccomend foregoing dinner(little pricey) and make it to lunch. A ton of awesome $10 lunch specials. Big portions and good service!

No place better to eat on the east coast. It's a feel good place from the time you walk in. Till the time you leave. BBQ shrimp appetizers along with calamari delicious. Wedge salad with home made blue cheese dressing was decorated for show and great tasting. Had the lobster tail and porter house steak for dinner it was the best we've had any where. Compliments to the chef and outstanding staff.

Amazing!!!!!! We went on a Tuesday night and there were plenty of tables available. We ordered 2 bottles of red wine.....always tastes good with steak. For apps we got calamari - ok nothing fancy, stuffed mushrooms- very tasty and cooked perfect, and escargo- a little bland. Our main entree we ordered "black and white" which was off the menu Similar to a surf and turf with two different sauces. Steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Another entree was the porterhouse steak 12oz or 24oz ( forgot the size), but regardless the portions were big! The steak was ordered medium rare, but received a medium steak instead. Regardless, it was good. I ordered the Delmonico steak medium. It was very good and tender. Dinners come with sides, but we ordered more sides- cream of spinach, asparagus, mushrooms and mashed potatoes. We had enough left overs for the next day. Desserts ordered were keylime pie- I am not a fan of keylime, but this was not too tart or too sweet. It was just right. The crust was very good too. Also ordered the gluten free s'more's cake....kinda weird, but we still ate it. Service was on par. Our server was very nice and attentive. Free valet parking too when dining in! Overall great restaurant to try out!

Wow! Talk about exceptional service. I don't want to have a waiter other than Tom for as long as I live. And the owner, Beth, greeted my party immediately after arrival. They are accommodating to disabilities as well; they opened the side door upon noticing one of our party was approaching the entrance with a walker. The drinks were fantastic, the 8 oz New York Strip with crab cake was to die for, and TOM! He attended to our every need; kept the drinks full and the good times rolling. I wish I could go back to Callaro's as a regular; alas, I live on the other side of the country. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Do not drink the haterade. This restaurant has some kind of black hole in it that random customers apparently fall into. I did some service work in the kitchen once, and I can tell you, I have been in A LOT of kitchens in West Palm Beach, and steakhouses are typically just above Crab Shacks in terms of cleanliness (the grease makes them a nightmare). This kitchen was not only clean, it was darn near the cleanest EVER. Kudos to the staff. When I saw the level of professionalism in the kitchen, I was ready to make a reservation. The Chef (Keith, if I remember correctly) runs a tight ship. The ambiance leaves a little to be desired, the menu a little conservative, but the food is delicious. I have had Calamari, Shrimp, Prime Rib, salad and more, all without incident. Until that changes, I will be back. The front bar is fun too, and the waitstaff seasoned and friendly.

Excellent food and great service. We are there for lunch one day and went back for dinner another. Lunch prices are great and you get a lot of food. Dinner is pricier but we thought it was worth it for a splurge. We both had the Mahi Mahi which was topped with crab and served on mashed potatoes with a cream sauce. We were stuffed and loved every bite! Highly recommend!

I've been to this restaurant several times and was generally satisfied with the food and service. On Valentines day I called at 11:00am to make reservations for late afternoon. I was told by the person answering the phone that a reservation wouldn't be necessary at that time and it would be no trouble getting seated. When I arrived at 5:00pm, I was informed by a hostess with an attitude as big as Mt. Everest that I should have made a reservation and there was nothing she could do even though more than half the tables were empty. I informed her that I had called at about 11:00 and what I had been informed at that time. She said, "I'm the only one who's been answering the phone all day." I informed her that I had spoken with a man which she said was not possible. I showed her my list of recent calls on my cell phone to which she again responded there was nothing she could do and then walked away. I've never been treated so disrespectfully. Her attitude was inexcusable and has given me a very bad taste for this otherwise decent restaurant. A note of advice to the owner...check out your staff very carefully. They can make or break you.

Server was nice, food was good. I agree with other reviewers though when it comes to the prices. This place is way too expensive. The day after Christmas with tons of people in town, this place was empty. If they lowered the prices a little bit they'd probably get a lot more business. It's a shame. Great location and decent food.

Excellent restaurant with impeccable service. Wedge salad is a meal by itself. The New York Strip rivals more expensive National Brand name steakhouses. The drinks are always on point, never watered down. Although the wine selection could be more expansive, it is good enough and priced appropriately. I take my family to Callaros each time we visit the area.

Fabulous! We were in town for the night looking for a good place for dinner. Brought the kids and were lucky to get there early enough for the early bird menu. Wedge salad was fantastic, steaks were delicious. They had the best warm bread with whipped butter. The service was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for great service and a delicious meal. Had two steaks (with a side and salad), two kids meals, two beers and three glasses of wine for $116. Highly recommend!

Bread was fresh and delicious. Steaks were great. Tender and juicy. Sushi was very good. Red velvet cake was very yummy. The noise level is about average for a place with tile floors. Don't skip this place based on some of the people that posed negative comments.

I'm a Michigan snowbird and live in the area in the winter. I've eaten here for lunches and dinners and the service and the food has always been superb! They've got great $10.00 lunch specials and fabulous early dinner specials until 7pm. that include dinner, dessert and a beverage for $19.99. You can't beat that! Nice bar area in the front. The owners are very pleasant, hard working and attentive.

No better steak in town than Callaro's but it is so much more than just beef. The fish specials are always wonderful, flavorful and creative. They tend to be pricey, but worth it. Appetizers are diverse and great to enjoy while mingling with a glass of wine at the bar with the friendly bar staff. My friend recommended the daily $10 lunch specials. He raves that one is better than the next. You can't beat that deal! The $19.13 menu is a hidden gem but must be ordered before 6pm...I think. They make a terrific Gorgonzola salad too. Occasional live music can be found on Thursdays and/or Saturdays. In season, it really draws a fun crowd.

The meal was absolutely delicious. We had the stuffed mushrooms, filet special and steak Au poivre. What put it over the top was our server, Tom, very professional yet entertaining. Would highly recommend and you have to sit in Tom's section.

The service was really sad, bread was stale. Meals were left out (they didn't get everyone's order, but i will give them it was a big party) they did try to recover by giving us free food. I think we were getting them on a off night. Steak was okay stuff mushrooms are a must!

Garlic encrusted snapper. OMG the best meal ever! This plate was absolutely amazing. I went there few times, and I usually have fish. I know having fish in a steak house is pretty weird, but this is where I have the best seafood! I love their tuna on the menu, but this snapper was absolutely outstanding. No room for deserts, so I cannot say anything about that. I do believe that they made wrong choices as far as the design goes, but thankfully, they hired well as the staff is really competent.

We went here last night for the first time and while it's a little high on the prices once I received the food I had no problem with it at all. I had cheese soup...unbelievably good, the lamb chops are outstanding also. I'm always picky about lamb so I don't order it much anymore. Very glad I tried it again. My husband had steak and stuffed shrimp. He said it was really good and it looked amazing. The portion sizes were large. The craft beer menu had some Due South on it which was good but they would do well to expand on those options. Nice wine menu. The service was very friendly and accommodating.

First and foremost. My server was great. She was very attentive and truly cared about my dining experience. The food, however... The shrimp cocktail was pretty good. The shrimp were fresh. But $15 for 4 shrimp is pretty steep. These might have been 21/25's. My "garden" salad was clearly pre-made and had been sitting in a cooler. (my ranch dressing in a plastic cup). My steak ( Cowboy) a bone in ribeye. Was actually very good. My side items were not. These veggies were clearly microwaved. I find this to be extremely offensive given the price point. ( $10 for a side of brusslesprouts ). I should add also that if your going to order red wine, be prepared for it to be "hot". They don't store it at the proper temp. Now for dessert. 4 show plate were brought out for us to choose from. We chose some kind of banana layered cake. Before I ordered I specifically asked if these were made in house. Nope. It tasted like left over wedding cake. The icing was extremely hard. The chocolate sauce was not sauce but more of a syrup( my guess is smuckers). Also sadly the whipped cream was rediwhip. Not fresh. How hard is it to make fresh whipped cream????????

The prices are over the top crazy high for what you get. A small piece of sea bass served with mashed potato is NOT worth $35.99. The taste was there, however they have priced themselves right out of the market. We had a seasoned server was good, however the tables around us got stuck with some young jersey shore reject.....worse of all, he had attitude. They need to get real and take a look at their prices. Wednesday night 75% of their tables were empty. Nice atmosphere, good valet parking, gracious hostess.......it is simply too expensive, by all standards.

Really surprised this only had 3 stars. The food was pretty good and reasonably priced. We totaled $640 with tip on 10 people. Service was a little goofy but not slow. Prime Rib was excellent. I think everyone enjoyed their meal. I'll beback.

Worst meal ever. Bad service. Lousy meat. If you want to pay 35 dollars for a steak,go to a real steak restaurant. This one just pales in comparison to a real steak restaurant. Plus, it's cold inside and lacks ambience. Spend you money somewhere else! One star in my book.

Yesterday 4 of us were looking to try a new restaurant for dinner and after much research for summer specials in the Post and online we decided to try Callaro's Steakhouse. The reviews were great and the specials had a nice variety of entrees. Since it was a Saturday, I called the restaurant and asked about the happy hour and "first impressions" (early dinner menu). I was told that they did have a happy hour 5 -7 at the bar and that the first impressions menu was extended from 6PM to 7PM. Perfect for our plans! We got to the restaurant about 6:15 and went to the bar for the 2 for 1 drinks. The very nice bartender there said it was over at 6PM. I told her I had called to check and was told it was until 7. She said no, it was over at 6 ....so we decided to have a drink at the bar anyhow. She gave us our drinks and then came back a few minutes later and said the manager said since we were misinformed she would honor the happy hour for us until 7PM. We were very thankful and thought the manager stepped up to the plate. I asked the bartender about the first impressions menu and she said we could have that menu as long as we ordered before 7. At about 6:50 we moved to a booth in the bar area to order dinner. We heard the bartender tell the waiter that we were approved to order from the first impressions menu until 7. Not sure what happened then but the waiter came over with the regular menus and we told him we wanted the first impression menus. He left and the manager came over and said we would have to order off the regular menu. At this point we were very upset with the whole situation and we very politely told the waiter that decided not to eat there and asked for the check.. We were not belligerent and merely asked for our drinks check. The bill was $40 and we tipped the bartender $16 because we thought she did a good job of bringing it to the attention of the manager trying to make things right. We left and had a lovely dinner at another restaurant. We were very disappointed in the way the manager handled the situation. We are local people who dine out very frequently and we liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. And, as said before, the reviews were good. It is a shame that we did not get a chance to try their food. It just seemed like a bait and switch to us...and honestly, they could have had some very loyal local customers had they only offered us what was told to us over the phone only hours before.

Wow! Absolutely fell in love! The waiter did a fantastic job. Stuffed mushrooms with crab was delicious. Cesar salad was fresh & crisp. Porterhouse melted in my mouth. I will definitely be back!

On our most recent visit we were very disappointed with the quality of the meat. The prime rib certainly was not prime. I probably should have changed my order after I saw a lady at a nearby table sawing up and back trying to cut her prime rib with the high quality steak knives that they use. My wife had the same problem with the grilled beef kabobs that she ordered. I filled up on the very good Caesar salad and potato skins.

Went BACK to Callero's last night! It was BEYOND BAD! The service was abysmal, and when the entree's arrived, it was (a) a wrong dinner (for one) and the Prime Rib was STONE COLD! The waiter vanished so we had to seek out the owner. The took the dinners back and nuked them then lathered them with au jus to hide what they had done -- and they were STILL COLD. Another call and the Owner appeared said that we were the only one's complaining about the dinner. And, oh yes, throughout it all the stuffed potatoes (ALSO BAD -- virtually uncooked) went cold as did the mushrooms. So we paid for items that we could not eat! The owner took off the cost of the two inedible dinners (charged us for one) and did not remove the other INEDIBLE, COLD items! There was no offer of a "Free .......... (coffee or dessert) just blame that it was our fault. I have been to bother locations many times and they were good -- but this time was SO BAD! And on top of that it is TRES EXPENSIVE! Go to Morton's or OKEECHOBEE instead! I will not be returning, neither will my guests!

Decent steak, but not for the money. The prime rib was good, but for the money, you would be better off taking your business to Houston's, J.Alexander's or even Outback steakhouse as they offer a superior product at a lower price

I love Callaro's. Every time I come to Palm Beach - I have to have dinner here. The service has always been outstanding. The food is top notch. Bread and butter are served. Every meal comes with 2 sides. I usually get the salad and baked potato. You can have either a garden salad or a ceasar. Both are great! The crab cake is absolutely hands down the best I have ever tasted. Their steaks are always perfectly cooked and their fish is incredible. I do have to say that my favorite server is Will. Always a sweetheart! I don't think you will be disappointed by anything that is put on the table here.

Went on Saturday night, piano player ingratiatingly too loud for the bar and refused to lower the volume on his electronic piano. Then had a dinner where service was non-existent, lobster tail tough and rubbery, same with overdone steak.... All in all, not worth the price, better to try during the week.

Very expensive, yet they serve the cheapest wines known the wo/man. Was warned about service and food quality not being on par with food quality and unfortunately everything was true. Avoid.
